AW - Transfer Paper for Darks
Commercial Inkjet Heat Press Transfer Instructions

 Printing Your Transfer

  • Insert a single sheet of transfer paper into the printer with the printable surface loaded correctly for your printer. (See your printer manual if necessary)
  • DO NOT Reverse (flip or mirror) the image before printing.

 Preparing to Transfer

  • Preheat the heat press to 375°F/190°C
  • Holding image side of transfer toward you make a small (1/4 inch) hard crease at the corner edge of the transfer.

  • Flip the transfer over and crease the same corner again but in the opposite direction.

  • Holding the back side of the transfer toward you, gently tear the paper backing on the crease to separate the transfer from the paper backing.  Do not tear the transfer layer.

  • When you have made the tear, separate the layers and SLOWLY peel the transfer just past the image. Stop there and realign the paper backing with the image layer.

  • Trim around the image.
  • After trimming the transfer, GENTLY peel the remaining paper backing away from the transfer.
  • Choose a dark or bright colored substrate made of 100% cotton.

Transferring with a Commercial Heat Press

  • Place wrinkle-free garment onto press pad with transfer (print side up) onto garment.
  • Place parchment sheet on top of the transfer. Make sure the entire transfer is covered by the parchment leaving no area of the transfer uncovered.

  • Press at 375°F/190°C for 15 seconds, with high pressure.
  • Allow the transfer to cool to the touch (at least 2 minutes) then peel away the parchment sheet.

 Washing

  • Turn garment inside out before washing
  • Machine wash cold
  • Mild Color-safe detergent (No Bleach)
  • Remove promptly from washer and place in dryer. Colors may bleed if garment is wet too long. If bleeding occurs, rewash immediately.
  • Dry in dryer inside out, on low setting

PRODUCT QUALITY ASSURANCE

Exhaustive procedures for testing each of the paper products has been established. To simulate real-world use and applicability, we test our products on a multitude of substrates, using many types of printers, copiers, transfer equipment, laundry detergents, etc. However, it is impossible to duplicate all printing, copying and transfer processes. Therefore, it is critical that you test the paper you plan to use before production or creating multiple garments/products to determine the suitability of the paper for your equipment, methods and substrate material.

The seller's and manufacturer's maximum obligation shall be to replace any paper that has been proven to be defective. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, direct or consequential, arising out of the use or inability to use the paper.
